The Fight Nights Global 70 headliner will move forward as planned, as both Rousimar Pahlares and Alexei Ivanov have been cleared for their welterweight showdown.
Palhares, a former World Series of Fighting champion and 12-time UFC veteran, will be making his Fight Nights Global debut. The 37-year-old submission specialist enters the bout on a two-fight skid after losing to Michal Materla via second-round knockout at KSW 36 and to Emil Weber Meek by first-round KO at Venator FC 3.
Ivnaov, meanwhile, had a seven-fight winning streak snapped in his most recent outing when he was submitted by Gennadiy Kovalev in the opening stanza at Fight Nights Global 57 on Dec. 16. The 30-year-old Russian is 11-3 as a professional overall.
