Fighters Make Weight for Cage Rage 18

LONDON, September 29 — The weigh-in for Cage Rage 18 was completed
with a thrilling yet joyful atmosphere today. This was partly due
the Superman costume Alex
Reid (Pictures) wore as he stepped up to the
scales and partly due to a display of good sportsmanship between
all the fighters.
However, tensions between Robbie Olivier (Pictures) and Brad Pickett (Pictures) seemed inevitable as the former stared at his opponent with a look of concrete determination. In addition, Paul Daley (Pictures) failed to show up for his face-to-face encounter with Sol Gilbert (Pictures), as he was “stuck in traffic.”
Despite this, all fighters made weight for what promises to be an impressive evening. Indeed Cage Rage has yet again attracted media attention outside the usual mixed martial arts circles, with the Turkish FHM and a west London newspaper taking an interest in the event.
News for Cage Rage 19 includes a temporary change of venue. Rumors that it would be held in Earls Court London have already been confirmed and the occasion promises to be the biggest mixed martial arts event in Europe thus far.
The official weights for Saturday’s event are:
Ian Freeman (Pictures) (93 kg) vs. Mark Epstein (Pictures) (90.5 kg)
Murilo Rua (Pictures) (84 kg) VS Mark Weir (Pictures) (83 kg)
Kimo Leopoldo (Pictures) (102 kg) vs. Dave Legeno (Pictures) (106 kg)
