Fite TV to Stream Rizin World Grand Prix 2017

Surging internet powerhouse Fite TV announced on Thursday that it will stream Rizin Fighting Federation World Grand Prix 2017 on July 30, live from Japan. The action will begin at 1 a.m. ET/10 p.m. PT from Saitama Super Arena near Tokyo.

“We are thrilled to be the exclusive digital distributor for the Rizin World Grand Prix,” Fite TV COO Michael Weber said. “This will be our second live event from Rizin and we are looking forward to seeing their exciting brand of action and presentation. This event continues our commitment to bringing the best of Asian combat sports to Fite TV viewers.”

The card is set to be anchored by the Rizin bantamweight tournament as Kyoji Horiguchi will take on Hido Tokoro and Ultimate Fighting Championship veteran Anthony Birchak will oppose Deep 135-pound champ Takafumi Otsuka in the opening round. Keita Ishibashi will fight Khalid Taha in the bracket as well.

Amir Aliakbari will take on fellow heavyweight and Bellator MMA veteran Tyler King in one of the several super fights of the evening, while one of the most intriguing battles will pit women’s heavyweight Gabi Garcia against former Russian boxing champ Oskanda Gagloeva.

Other bouts on the bill thus far are Shimku Auclair against Sheena Star; Tenshin Nasukawa versus Kizaemon Saiga; Miyouu Yamamoto taking on Cassie Robb; Satoru Kitaoka against Yuseke Yachi; and King Reina standing opposite Seini Draughn.
