An injury to Rick Glenn temporarily derailed World Series of Fighting’s inaugural featherweight title bout, but the booking is now back on track.

WSOF officials Tuesday announced that undefeated prospect Lance Palmer will step in for Glenn to meet Georgi Karakhanyan at WSOF 7. The event takes place Dec. 7 at PNE Agrodome in Vancouver, British Columbia, and marks the organization’s first trip to Canada.

Headlined by a light heavyweight showdown between Anthony Johnson and Mike Kyle, the main card airs live on NBC Sports Network, while the preliminary card streams on Sherdog.com.

Palmer has been perfect through seven pro appearances, kicking off 2013 with a first-round submission win before edging Jared Downing in a split decision this past June to win the Resurrection Fighting Alliance featherweight belt. Fighting out of Team Alpha Male, the 25-year-old has tapped three of his seven victims but has yet to record a knockout.

Karakhanyan, 28, will bring a decided experience advantage with him into the cage. The seven-year-pro is likely best known for his Bellator stint, during which he competed in the Season 2 and 4 featherweight tournaments. “Insane” has won eight straight fights since parting ways with Bellator in 2011, most recently dispatching UFC vet Waylon Lowe in his WSOF debut on Sept. 14.
