Giannis Bachar Spoils Tahar Hadbi's Return in Brave CF 39 Main Event
Brave Combat Federation held its third straight event in Sweden on Saturday.
The
Brave CF 39 main event featured a welterweight clash
between Titan FC veteran Giannis
Bachar (6-2) and Tahar Hadbi
(14-8). Hadbi's latest cage appearance was a
title-eliminator loss to the current welterweight champion Jarrah
Al-Selawe in May of 2018, and perhaps he was plagued by cage rust
in his return. Bachar proved to be in much better shape and
dominated for the better part of three rounds. Hadbi tried to
answer his opponent's relentless combinations with some vicious
elbows, but it wasn't enough to convince the judges.
Eventually, Bachar took home a well-deserved unanimous
decision victory. The Greek fighter is now riding a five-bout win
streak.
The ending sequence as "Bane" gets his first BRAVE CF victory!

In the middleweight co-main event, local prospect Andreas Gustafsson (6-0) defended his perfect professional record against Serbia's Miro Jurkovic (10-3). Gustafsson taught a hard lesson to his opponent, who managed to survive until the third round thanks to a massive display of heart. Jurkovic tried to contain his opponent's aggressiveness by landing a takedown as soon as the battle began but shortly after, Gustafsson swept his way to his feet and hunted his opponent down across the cage with vicious shots. Eventually, referee Kevin Sataki stopped the action at the 4:10 mark of the third stanza.
Elsewhere, Tobias Harila (7-1) forced Rafael Macedo (10-5) to retire at the end of the second stanza after picking his opponent apart on the feet. In a 141-pound catchweight bout, Felipe Lima (9-1) captured a unanimous decision victory over Farbod Nezhad (8-2-1). In the first battle on the card, Sahil Siraj (5-0) edged Davide Gregorio La Torre (5-4) via unanimous decision in their lightweight encounter.
