After storming through a number of high-profile cities across the globe, worldwide kickboxing giant Glory is finally coming through the fight capital of the world.
On Friday night inside the famed Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Glory 23 will look to tear Sin City asunder with its brand of top-flight striking.
Luckily for all parties involved, the key combatants on the card all made weight, thus officially allowing the fists and feet to fly. The event is headlined by the Glory welterweight championship between Nieky Holzken and Raymond Daniels. Glory 23 also boasts a four-man one-night middleweight tournament as well as a heavyweight showdown between knockout artists Xavier Vigney and Daniel Sam. As expected, the event will showcase a sizeable undercard full of Glory super fights.
Daniels was the first to climb onto the scale for the featured bout and came in at 169 pounds. Holzken, who already holds a win over his opponent, followed suit and clocked in at 169.5 pounds.
Not needing to make a specific weight limit per se, Vigney and Sam didn’t have much pressure in training. Vigney tipped the scale at 253.5 pounds while his foe came in at 269.
The participants in the middleweight tourney all had to make 160 pounds and none of the four had any issues. Dustin Jacoby nailed it at 186.8 pounds; Ariel Sepulveda came in at 186; Casey Greene weighed 186.5; and Quinton O’Brien tailed them at 186 pounds.
