A welterweight bout between Gunnar Nelson and Santiago Ponzinibbio will serve as the headliner for UFC Fight Night 113.

The UFC’s European branch announced the pairing on Friday. UFC Fight Night 113 takes place at the SSE Hydro Arena in Glasgow, Scotland on July 16 and will also include a strawweight contest pitting Joanne Calderwood against Cynthia Calvillo. The evening’s main card will be televised on Fox Sports 1.

Nelson, 28, has won three of his last four Octagon appearances, with his only loss coming to welterweight contender Demian Maia during that time. The SBG Ireland product rebounded from that defeat to score back-to-back submission victories over Alan Jouban and Albert Tumenov in his last two outings. Nelson is 6-2 overall during his tenure with the Las Vegas-based promotion and has finished all but one of those victories via submission.

Ponzinibbio, meanwhile, has quietly compiled a four-fight winning streak that includes a three-round verdict over Nordine Taleb in his most recent appearance at UFC Fight Night 105 on Feb. 19. The 30-year-old Argentinian is 6-2 in UFC and 24-3 as a professional overall.
