Matt Hamill has withdrawn from his scheduled WSOF 19bout against Thiago Silva due to illness.
In addition, Heun will now face Clifford Starks in a featured light heavyweight contest, according to multiple reports. Eddie Arizmendi, Starks' original foe, was left without an opponent and will receive his show and win money.
It is unclear the nature of Hamill’s illness, although the UFC veteran made weight at 205.7 pounds ahead of the proposed clash on Friday. The 38-year-old Hamill briefly retired following a decision loss to Silva in October 2013.
A native or Bartlett, Tenn., Holder is 8-1 as a professional and has finished all of his triumphs inside of a round. Holder has not competed since Aug. 10, 2013. He owns a notable win over UFC veteran Sean Salmon.
The other half of the promotion’s 205-pound bracket will take place at WSOF 20 on April 10, when Ronny Markes squares off with David Branch at Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Ledyard, Conn.
