Henry Cejudo Sends Message to ‘Brittle’ Dominick Cruz: ‘I Want Someone That I Could Break’

While UFC president Dana White has threatened to strip Henry Cejudo of the flyweight belt if he doesn’t defend that title next, the man known as “Triple C” continues to target potential bantamweight foes.

The two-division champion took to Instagram recently to deliver a message to former 135-pound ruler Dominick Cruz. In the video, Cejudo reads a bedtime story to his three championship belts — which are outfitted in diapers — before turning his attention to Cruz.

“I want someone easy, kids,” said Cejudo. “I want someone that I could break! I want somebody brittle, I want somebody easy. In wrestling we call them pud-whackers, fish. Or better yet, what about a tune-up fight?”

Dominick Cruz, I have a message for you. I don’t know how you can say you’re the best in the world when you’re not even the best in the state of Arizona. Dominick Cruz, you can do me a favor and you can bend the knee to Triple C too. And one last thing, wash your filthy dog!”

Cruz has not competed since losing the bantamweight strap to Cody Garbrandt in a five-round decision at UFC 207 on Dec. 30, 2016. He has since been scheduled to face Jimmie Rivera at UFC 219 and John Lineker at UFC 233 but had to withdraw from both bouts due to injuries. “The Dominator” recently said that he is hoping to make a return to the Octagon in late 2019.

Cejudo is currently recovering from shoulder surgery, and an exact timetable for his next fight has not been determined. The Olympic gold medalist claimed the vacant bantamweight title with a third-round stoppage of Marlon Moraes in his most recent outing at UFC 238.
