Henry Cejudo vs. T.J. Dillashaw Moved from UFC 233 to Headline UFC Debut on ESPN+

The UFC’s debut on ESPN+ finally has a main event, as the flyweight title bout between Henry Cejudo and T.J. Dillashaw has been transported from UFC 233 to headline the Jan. 19 card at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

ESPN.com was first to report the news. UFC 233 does not have a headliner, but according to multiple reports, promotion officials are attempting to book a title fight for the card, which takes place at the Honda Center in Anaheim on Jan. 26.

Cejudo vs. Dillashaw is the second bout to move from UFC 233 to UFC Fight Night 143, as a female strawweight tilt between Ariane Lipski and Joanne Calderwood was also moved from Anaheim to Brooklyn earlier on Wednesday.

Cejudo claimed the 125-pound belt with a decision win over Demetrious Johnson at UFC 227 in August, avenging an earlier loss to “Mighty Mouse” at UFC 197 in April 2016. The Olympic gold medalist is currently riding a three-fight winning streak that also includes triumphs over Sergio Pettis and Wilson Reis.

Dillashaw, meanwhile, is a two-time UFC bantamweight champion. He regained the belt with a TKO of Cody Garbrandt at UFC 217 and then bested “No Love” by first-round knockout in their rematch at UFC 227. Dillashaw has won nine of his last 10 Octagon appearances.
