A featherweight clash between Henry Corrales and Emmanuel Sanchez has been added to the Bellator 143 main card.
Promotion officials announced the bout Thursday, as well as another 145-pound contest pitting Gleristone Santos against John Teixeira da Conceicao, which is set for the preliminary bill. Bellator 143 takes place at the State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, Texas, on Sept. 25 and is headlined by a bantamweight showdown between Joe Warren and L.C. Davis.
After winning his first 12 professional outings, Corrales came up short in his Bellator debut, falling to former champion Daniel Straus via second-round guillotine on June 19. The California native has finished 10 of his victories inside the distance.
Sanchez, meanwhile, sports a 10-2 career mark. “El Matador” has split a pair of bouts in the Bellator cage, outpointing Alejandro Villalobos in his debut before dropping a decision to Pat Curran at Bellator 139.
