Dublin’s own Garry made his pro debut with Cage Warriors, and he notched seven straight victories in the promotion, including five finishes. In his latest cage appearances, he took part in a four-man tournament for the vacant welterweight championship. The Sanford MMA standout first knocked UFC alum Rostem Akman out cold with a head kick at CW 121, and then outpointed Jack Grant to capture the 170-pound strap in the CW 125 headliner.
2020 Dana White's Contender Series alum Jordan Williams is currently hunting for his first victory under the UFC banner. “Bomaye” earned his contract following a first-round TKO victory over Gregory Rodrigues at middleweight. He then lost a decision to Nassourdine Imavov at UFC on ESPN 16 before moving down to welterweight. Most recently, the 30-year-old tapped to a rear-naked choke at the hands of Mickey Gall.
UFC 268 will go down at the Madison Square Garden in New York City on Nov. 6. The main event sees welterweight kingpin Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington squaring off again for the title. In the co-main event, Rose Namajunas will put her women’s strawweight belt on the line against former divisional titleholder Weili Zhang.
