Ilima-Lei Macfarlane, Jessica Middleton Set for Bellator 178 Co-Main Event on April 21

A women’s flyweight bout pitting Ilima-Lei Macfarlane against Jessica Middleton will serve as the Bellator 178 co-headliner on April 21.

The California-based promotion recently confirmed the matchup following a report from KHON2. Bellator 178 takes place at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut and is topped by a featherweight championship clash between Daniel Straus and Patricio Freire. The evening’s main card will be televised on Spike.

Macfarlane has won her first five pro bouts, including four under the Bellator MMA banner. In her most recent outing, the 26-year-old San Diego resident outpointed Emily Ducote at Bellator 167 on Dec. 3.

Middleton, meanwhile, has kicked off her professional tenure with back-to-back decision victories against Bruna Ellen and Alice Yauger in Bellator competition.
