Invicta Fighting Championships, the world’s leading all-female mixed martial arts promotion, returns with another event on Friday (online sportsbooks) with a championship belt at stake. Invicta FC 19 is anchored by Jennifer Maia defending her “interim” flyweight title against fan favorite Roxanne Modafferi.

Since losing to DeAnna Bennett at Invicta FC 10 nearly two years ago, Maia has been on a tear. The Chute Boxe fighter has won four straight, two via knockout and she looks to continue her winning ways on Friday. Modafferi, meanwhile, is on her best run since 2007-08; “The Happy Warrior” has won two in a row and four of five overall.

At Thursday’s weigh-ins, both main event combatants came in on point, clearing the final hurdle for their tussle. Modafferi, who gained fame while being a contestant on TUF 18, officially weighed in at 124.75 pounds. Maia looked just as sharp on the scale; the Brazilian came in at (124.75).

Invicta FC 19 goes down inside Kansas City Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, Mo. The action will be streamed live on UFC Fight Pass beginning at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
