Invicta FC 36 Weigh-in Results: Title Fight Set; Two Miss Weight

Invicta Fighting Championships is headed to Kansas City, Kansas, for Invicta FC 36, where featherweight gold is on the line.

In the main event, former title challenger Pam Sorenson (144.8) takes on Kaitlin Young (145) for the vacant featherweight belt. Former champ Felicia Spencer vacated the featherweight throne when she was signed to the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Sorenson is coming off of a submission loss to Spencer, while Young is riding a three-fight winning streak. The co-main event sees a 120-pound catchweight affair between Janaisa Morandin (119.6)* vs. Emily Ducote (115.8).

Invicta FC 36 goes down on Friday, Aug. 9 live on UFC Fight Pass, airing at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The card also features an atomweight scrap between Jessica Correa Delboni (105.4) and Lindsey VanZandt (105.7). In the flyweight division, undefeated Stephanie Geltmacher (125.5) will face Victoria Leonardo (125.7). Also, Alyse Anderson (105.8) takes on Katie Saull (105.9) at atomweight.

Two fighters missed weight: Morandin (119.6)*, who missed the strawweight limit by 3.6 pounds, and Chantel Coates (126.5)**, who came in .5 pounds heavy for her flyweight fight. Both women have been fined 25 percent of their purses.
