Invicta FC Announces Field for Phoenix Series 2 Flyweight Tournament on Sept. 6

Invicta Fighting Championships has announced the field for its second Phoenix Series tournament.

The bracket will consist of eight flyweights and will take place on Sept. 6 at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kan., on Sept. 6. The initial Phoenix Series took place at strawweight this past May and was won by Brianna Van Buren, who is now in the UFC.

The eight-woman flyweight field is as follows: DeAnna Bennett, Milana Dudieva, Marilia Santos, Maiju Suotama, Daiana Torquato, Cheri Muraski, Liz Tracy and Miranda Maverick.

Quarterfinal matchups will be determined by a random draw, and the fastest finisher will be able to select her semifinal opponent from the remaining three women. All quarterfinal and semifinal contests will consist of one, five-minute round. The tournament final will be three, five-minute rounds.

Two traditional, non-tournament flyweight bouts were also announced for the event: Alexa Conners vs. Mariya Agapova and Josee Storts vs. Helen Lucero.
