J.J. Aldrich-Danielle Taylor Becomes Fourth Women's Bout Added to UFC's Jan. 14 Debut in St. Louis

The Ultimate Fighting Championship’s debut in the Gateway City has gained another women's contest.

The UFC has added strawweight clash between J.J. Aldrich and Danielle Taylor to its lineup for UFC Fight Night 124, scheduled for Jan. 14 at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Mo. Aldrich-Taylor is the fourth women’s bout on the bill, joining bouts between Jessica-Rose Clark and Paige VanZant, Jessica Eye and Kalindra Faria, as well as Irene Aldana and Talita Bernardo.

Presently, the most high-profile bout on the card is a middleweight affair between Brazilian icon Vitor Belfort and knockout artist Uriah Hall, but no main event has been formally announced by the UFC.

Aldrich, 25, was defeated in her UFC debut last December, dropping a unanimous decision to Brazil’s Juliana Lima. The Colorado native got back into the win column at UFC Fight Night 110 in June, putting the first career loss on the record of South Korean prospect Chanmi Jeon.

The 28-year-old Taylor also had a rough UFC debut, losing an ugly, listless split decision to Ukrainian Maryna Moroz in August 2016. “Dynamite” has bounced back with consecutive decision wins, eking by Seo Hee Ham via split 12 months ago, then taking a sound unanimous verdict over former UFC title challenger Jessica Penne in April.
