Former middleweight champion Ronaldo Souza walked away from Strikeforce “Tate vs. Rousey” with an event-high $92,000, as “Jacare” took home a $22,000 win bonus following his submission victory over injury replacement Bristol Marunde ($10,000) on Saturday night.

Sherdog.com confirmed the event’s payout information with Ohio Athletic Commission Executive Director Bernie Profato on Tuesday. Headlined by a women’s 135-pound championship showdown between Miesha Tate and Ronda Rousey, the event took place at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. Rousey earned $32,000 for her first-round submission of Tate ($19,000), winning the title with her signature armbar as a hard-fought first round neared its conclusion.

Josh Thomson took home $80,000 following a grinding unanimous decision win over K.J. Noons ($38,000) in the evening’s co-headliner. Hard-hitting Brit Paul Daley made $45,000 in defeat to Kazuo Misaki, who netted $50,000 for his split-decision victory over “Semtex.”

Additionally, former women’s bantamweight champion Sarah Kaufman was awarded $25,000 following her hard-fought rematch with Alexis Davis ($4,000), and durable lightweight veteran Pat Healy grabbed $22,500 after handing Caros Fodor ($12,000) the first loss of his pro career.

Lumumba Sayers and Ryan Couture each pocketed $10,000 following respective wins over Scott Smith ($15,000) and Conor Heun ($8,000), and Roger Bowling earned $16,000 for disposing of Brandon Saling ($5,000) in their preliminary welterweight duel.
