“Obviously, you have seen it with a lot of fighters. Once you win the Cage Warriors title and defend it once or twice you get signed,” Shore said to Sherdog.com. “When I defended it the last time there was nothing left as I cleared out the division so I was hopeful the UFC would be the next step. I was pretty confident that after that fight they would come calling.”
Although it is Shore making his UFC debut, he is confident that he will be well-prepared for his upcoming matchup with Hernandez.
“I match up well. He has a very good skillset, well-rounded. I just think I am slightly better at every aspect. It is a dangerous fight. He brings a lot to the table, but I am confident in my abilities. It is going to be a tough fight,” he explained. "I just see me being better. I have that experience, and am more used to performing under the brighter lights. The last couple of fights in Cage Warriors were big arena shows. I can see myself getting a finish but it will be tough, but I may break him.”
