Jackson-Wink MMA to Offer Naming Rights for Renowned Training Facility
Famed gym Jackson-Wink MMA will offer naming rights for its
Albuquerque, N.M.-based facility, according to a recent report from
the Associated
Press.
It’s currently unclear what the bid would cost, but the rights holder would be able to have its name on the building as well as its logos and advertisements. Jackson-Wink MMA is run by trainers Greg Jackson and Mike Winkeljohn and is home to the likes of UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, Holly Holm, Carlos Condit, John Dodson, Michelle Waterson and more.
“It’s something we’ve been talking about for a while now,” Jackson
said. “We are exploring our options, and we think we can give a
partner a lot of exposure around the world because of our
reputation. There are a lot of eyes on this place.”
Jackson told the AP that the gym is hoping to build a global brand and is especially interested in expanding into the Hispanic market.
Formerly known as Jackson’s MMA, the facility was previously located in a small building in an industrial area of Southeast Albuquerque. The team was eventually rebranded as Jackson-Wink MMA to reflect the involvement of both primary coaches and moved to the old DEA building in downtown Albuquerque in 2015. The larger facility includes dorms for out-of-town fighters as well as a built-in MMA-themed cafe.
