A strawweight showdown between Janaisa Morandin and Montserrat Ruiz will serve as the headliner for Invicta Fighting Championships 41 on July 30.

The promotion announced the card on Tuesday. Invicta FC 41 takes place behind closed doors in Kansas City and airs on UFC Fight Pass at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The card will utilize open scoring, meaning that judges’ scorecards will be public knowledge after each round instead of at the end of the fight.

Five other bouts were announced for Invicta FC 41: Erin Blanchfield vs. Stephanie Geltmacher at flyweight; Kaitlin Young vs. Latoya Walker at featherweight; Cynthia Arceo vs. Itzel Esquivel at strawweight; Caitlin Sammons vs. Claire Guthrie at flyweight and Natalya Speece vs. Alexa Culp at flyweight.

A former strawweight title challenger, Morandin has lost three of her last four bouts. Most recently, the 25-year-old Brazilian suffered a first-round TKO defeat to Emily Ducote at Invicta FC 36 on Aug. 9. “Evil Princess” is 10-3 as a professional, with six victories coming inside the distance.

Mexico’s Ruiz made her promotional debut at Invicta FC 33, where she suffered a unanimous decision loss to UFC veteran Danielle Taylor. The Bonebreakers Team representative began her pro tenure with eight consecutive triumphs on the regional circuit.
