The all-female promotion announced the bout on Wednesday. Invicta FC 26 takes place at the Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, Mo., and also includes a strawweight clash between Mizuki Inoue and Janaisa Morandin as well as a flyweight tilt pitting Vanessa Porto against Jessica Rose-Clark. The card will stream in its entirety on UFC Fight Pass beginning at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
Maia captured 125-pound gold with a five-round verdict over Vanessa Porto at Invicta FC 16 in March 2016. The 29-year-old Brazilian defended the belt in a split-decision triumph against Roxanne Modafferi on Sept. 23. Maia is 14-4-1 as a professional, with eight victories coming via knockout, technical knockout or submission.
Niedzweidz, meanwhile, is coming off a decision win against Porto at Invicta FC 23 this past May. The 22-year-old Pole is 10-0 over the course of a professional tenure that includes two appearances in Cage Warriors Fighting Championship.
