Jesse "Hollywood" Hart will face Sullivan Barrera in a 10-round light heavyweight bout on June 15 at the famed MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Hart-Barrera will be the lead-in for the main event championship fight between heavyweight belt holder Tyson Fury and undefeated challenger Tom Schwarz.
Hart is moving up to light heavyweight after earning his second decision loss to WBO super middleweight champion Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramirez. Hart holds a 25-2 record with 21 of those wins, specifically his last 11 of 12, coming by way of knockout.
Barrera (22-2, 14 KOs), who defected from Cuba to the United States in 2009, rode a 17-fight winning streak at the start of his career before losing a decision to Andre Ward. Barrera also owns a notable loss to rising light heavyweight Dmitry Bivol, facing him in March 2018 for the Russian's WBA title.
"I am excited to face Jesse Hart, a great fighter who has also been in there with world champions," Barrera said. "This is a must-win fight. Simple as that. Camp has been great for me, and I am looking forward to June 15. It's going to be a great card, and I am going to show everyone in Las Vegas and watching on ESPN+ what I'm truly made of."
