After Jason Knight had to pull out of the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship 7 main event against Leonard Garcia, Jim Alers got the call from the promotion to step in and headline Saturday’s card.

“I think I am privileged to do that. I have earned it, as I went out my first fight and put on a great performance. It is amazing. I’m excited. Just excited to show the world what I can do,” Alers said to Sherdog.com. “I headlined in Cage Warriors but it is not Bare Knuckle. This is the up and coming thing and this is what I am the pioneer of.”
Alers expects his matchup with Garcia to be a fan-friendly fight, as they both like to stand and trade. However, he believes he is better at the boxing element and will be the one to get his hand raised.
“I know it will be good. The moment he gets hit, he will start throwing wild,” Alers said. “That is what he does. So, it will be an exciting fight for the fans.”
