The promotion confirmed the pairing on Monday. Additionally, Pearl Gonzalez will square off against Brogan Walker-Sanchez in the flyweight co-main event. Invicta FC 37 takes place at Memorial Hall in Kansas City on Oct. 4 and will stream in its entirety on UFC Fight Pass.
Frey and Cummins initially fought at Invicta FC 24 on July 15, 2017, with Frey earning a unanimous decision triumph.
Frey attempted to capture Rizin atomweight gold in her most recent outing against Ayaka Hamasaki on June 2 but lost a unanimous decision to her Japanese foe. She last defended her title at Invicta FC 33, where she took a split verdict over Minna Grusander on Dec. 15.
Cummins has rebounded since her loss to Frey to post back-to-back decision wins against Stephanie Alba and Jessica Correa Delboni. The 32-year-old known as “Smashley” has won four of his last five bouts overall.
