ESPN was first to report the news. The matchup has not been formally announced by the Las Vegas-based promotion. Lineker was forced to withdraw from the original booking due to injury. UFC on ESPN 3 takes place at American Airlines Arena in Miami on April 27 and is expected to feature a middleweight duel pitting Yoel Romero against Paulo Henrique Costa.

Lineker has lost just once in his last nine Octagon appearances. “Hands of Stone” hasn’t competed since UFC 224 last May, when he knocked out Brian Kelleher 3:43 into the third round of their bout in Brazil.

Sandhagen, meanwhile, remained on the the UFC Brooklyn bill, where he scored a first-round submission win against short-notice foe Mario Bautista. Sandhagen has won five straight fights, a streak that includes a trio of finishes in UFC competition.
