Josh Koscheck Scheduled to Make Bellator MMA Debut in December

It appears that Josh Koscheck will step into the Bellator cage for the first time toward the end of 2015.

Koscheck revealed during the Bellator 140 broadcast on Friday night that he will make his Bellator debut in December. The 25-time UFC veteran does not yet have an opponent for his initial promotional foray, but there has been rampant speculation that “Kos” will be booked against Paul Daley. Koscheck defeated Daley via unanimous decision at UFC 113, but that win was overshadowed by what occurred after the bell, when a frustrated “Semtex” landed a cheap shot on his opponent.

“He hit me after the bell and got booted from the UFC,” Koscheck recently told Sherdog.com. “Ever since then I’ve wanted to fight him.”

Daley held up his end of the bargain at Bellator 140, as he defeated Dennis Olson via second-round technical knockout at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. The British slugger is next set to appear at Bellator "Dynamite in a kickboxing bout, although an opponent for that fight has not been revealed. Daley could also be a front-runner for a welterweight title shot in his next MMA appearance.

Koscheck’s UFC career came to a conclusion in March, when he fell to Erick Silva at UFC Fight Night “Maia vs. LaFlare,” his fifth consecutive defeat within the organization. Koscheck said he spoke to the UFC about a new contract, but he found the offer to be less than satisfactory.
