Julia Avila vs. Karol Rosa Announced for UFC Fight Night 162 in Singapore

Julia Avila will take on Karol Rosa on Oct. 26 in Singapore at UFC Fight Night 162, the promotion announced Tuesday.

Avila made her Octagon debut earlier this year at UFC 239, where she beat Pannie Kianzad by decision. Before getting the call to the Las Vegas-based promotion she earned a TKO triumph against Alexa Conners under the Invicta Fighting Championships banner. Her lone career loss came back in 2018 against “The Ultimate Fighter 28” contestant Marciea Allen.

Rosa also had a successful promotional debut, as she took a split decision against Lara Fritzen Procopio at UFC Fight Night 157. The Brazilian is 12-3 as a professional with six wins by knockout, technical knockout or submission.

UFC Fight Night 162 takes place at Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore, and is headlined by a welterweight tilt between Ben Askren and Demian Maia. The card will air in its entirety on ESPN+.
