KSW 59 Weigh-in Results: Dia Outweighs Pudzianowski By 68 Pounds; 2 Fighters Miss

Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki's second mixed martial arts event of 2021 will be super-sized, with the main event fighters weighing a combined 598 pounds.

Legendary strongman Mariusz Pudzianowski returns to the promotion for the first time in over a year to headline KSW 59 "Fight Code" against Senegalese wrestling standout Serigne Ousmane Dia. The co-main event will see the KSW bantamweight championship up for grabs as Antun Racic takes on challenger Sebastian Przybysz. The nine-fight card is now official after the weigh-ins took place, with all but two fighters making weight.

While Pudzianowski's MMA record of 13-7 with one no-contest does not place him in title contention, he's still a massive star in his native Poland. When we last saw "Pudzian," he bounced back from two straight losses by knocking out Erko Jun. The 44-year-old tipped the scales at 265 pounds.

Although Dia is also 44, he isn't nearly as experienced in MMA as his opponent. The gargantuan gentleman made his debut in 2018 by knocking out Amadou Papis Konez in 1:12, and returned to the sport last year with a quick 59-second TKO over Dan Podmore. This will be the super heavyweight's biggest test yet, and Dia came in at a svelte 333 pounds.

The co-main event will see KSW's inaugural bantamweight champion look to retain his belt. Racic (25-8-1) won the title with a decision win over Damian Stasiak in 2019, and he defended it against Bruno Augusto dos Santos last year. Przybysz (7-2) has finished four of his last six bouts, and is riding a three-fight win streak that includes TKO wins over Jakub Wiklacz and Bogdan Barbu. Both the Croatian champ and the challenger tipped the scales at 135 pounds.

KSW 59 will stream live on KSW.TV and Fite.TV as a pay-per-view, and the broadcast will begin on Saturday at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT.
