A welterweight matchup pitting Kamaru Usman against Rafael dos Anjos will serve as the main event for “The Ultimate Fighter 28” finale.
Promotion officials announced the pairing on Tuesday, as well as a lightweight clash between Gilbert Melendez and Arnold Allen and a featherweight tilt between Darrell Horcher and Roosevelt Roberts.
The “TUF 28” finale takes place at the Pearl Theatre in Las Vegas on Nov. 30 and will also feature the finals of the heavyweight and women’s featherweight tournaments from the reality show. The card is expected to air on FS1 following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass.
The 31-year-old Usman is unbeaten in eight Octagon appearances and has won 12 fights in a row overall. Most recently, “The Nigerian Nightmare” earned a five-round verdict over Demian Maia in the main event of UFC Fight Night 129 on May 19.
A former UFC lightweight champion, dos Anjos is 3-1 since moving to 170 pounds. In his last outing, the Brazilian lost a decision to Colby Covington in an interim title bout at UFC 225.
