Khabib Nurmagomedov has opened as a betting favorite in potential matchups with Justin Gaethje and Georges St. Pierre, according to oddsmaker BetOnline.
Nurmagomedov has opened as a -225 favorite against Justin Gaethje in their lightweight unification bout, which UFC president Dana White recently announced will take place on Oct. 24. Gaethje, the interim 155-pound king, checks in as a +190 underdog.
Meanwhile, Nurmagomedov is also a favorite against former welterweight and middleweight champion Georges St. Pierre. “The Eagle” is listed at -200 in the potential bout, while St. Pierre is an underdog at +170. The proposed bout, which fizzled out prior to St. Pierre’s retirement, is apparently a possibility as a farewell fight for Nurmagomedov if he does indeed want to call it a career with a 30-0 record as rumored.
Bettors can also wager on whether the hypothetical Nurmagomedov-St. Pierre bout will occur before the end of 2021. As of now, the odds of Nurmagomedov vs. St. Pierre not happening are -1000, while the chances of it happening before Dec. 31, 2020 are listed at +550.
