The Legacy Fighting Alliance’s second event of March is set to go forward despite fighters in the main and co-main event missing weight.

LFA 102 is headlined by Elijah Johns going up against Bruno Assis de Souza Filho, who failed to make the featherweight limit. The card also features the second middleweight tournament semifinal bout between Gregory Rodrigues, who came in 1.4 pounds heavy, and Al Matavao, which will see the winner face Josh Fremd for the vacant championship. All eight fights are now official after the weigh-ins took place, with 12 fighters making their contracted weight requirements.

Filho (8-1) trains under the tutelage of Lyoto Machida. "The Tiger" has won eight straight bouts since dropping his pro debut, including three inside the LFA. In 2020, Filho finished Guilherme Santos with punches, and won a split decision over Kamuela Kirk. The Brazilian officially weighed 147.2 pounds, which is 1.2 pounds over the featherweight limit.

Looking to win LFA gold in the future like his brother Miles Johns, Elijah comes into the bout with a 7-1 record. The 24-year-old trains out of Fortis MMA and has won five straight fights inside the LFA Octagon. "Baby Johns" most recently defeated Zac Kelley and Luke Faultersack. The 24-year-old had no issue making weight and stepped on the scales at 146 pounds on the dot.

LFA 102's main card will stream on Friday live on UFC Fight Pass starting at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. The one-bout preliminary card will stream at 8:15 p.m. ET/5:15 p.m. PT on the promotion's Facebook page.
