LFA Star Derrick Krantz To Appear On Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series This Summer
Dana White to Derrick Krantz: "I'll be honest with you. You're 31 years old, you're 24-10. It makes no fucking sense to bring you on the Contender Series. But I love your attitude. Welcome to the Tuesday Night Contender Series. You fight this summer." #LFA63 pic.twitter.com/IaIYzRJCzn

It turns out Derrick Krantz couldn’t have picked a better moment to notch the most impressive finish of his career, and it paid dividends within minutes.

After the knockout, Krantz took the mic, looked in the direction of White, who was sitting cageside and scouting for the next season of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series -- and asked for an opportunity to do the same to UFC welterweights.
Shortly afterwards, White, flanked by a platoon of cameras, descended into the dressing room area where he extended Krantz an invitation to appear on the Contender Series, while acknowledging that he didn’t fit the usual mold of the show, which typically features fighters in their early 20s with a half-dozen or fewer fights.
“I’ll be honest with you,” White said. “You’re 31 years old [and] your record is 24-10. It makes no [expletive] sense to bring you on the Contender Series. But I [expletive] love your attitude. Welcome to the Tuesday Night Contender Series. You’ll fight this summer.”
For "D-Rock," it is the culmination of a career that has seen him become one of LFA’s biggest stars and best fighters. For the Contender Series, it is another interesting entrant in this year’s edition of the acclaimed live audition show, which White has confirmed will run two seasons in 2019, at least one on ESPN+ and the other possibly on UFC Fight Pass.
