The Team Alpha Male representative will put his belt on the line against onetime Jungle Fight champ Alexandre “Capitao” Almeida, WSOF officials announced on Tuesday.

WSOF 26 “Palmer vs. Almeida” is set to take place Friday, Dec. 18, at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. The show will also feature a 205-pound co-main event pitting “King of the Ring” Tyrone Spong against former University of Hawaii football player Jake Heun.

Palmer has won three in a row since dropping his WSOF debut to Georgi Karakhanyan nearly two years ago. Most recently, “The Party” submitted Chris Horodecki with a first-round neck crank at WSOF 21 in June.

Almeida compiled a 7-2 record in nine bouts under the Jungle Fight banner between 2012 and 2013. The Manaus native made the jump stateside in October, when he used a rear-naked choke to tap Saul Almeida in just 83 seconds at WSOF 24.

Spong will return to MMA after more than two years away from the cage, during which he has competed in kickboxing and boxing, suffered multiple injuries and served as coach for the Florida-based Blackzilians team. In the time since Spong’s last MMA bout, Heun has competed four times, going 3-1 with one knockout and one submission.

Also set for the main card of WSOF 26 is a lightweight fight between Ozzy Dugulubgov and Nic Herron-Webb, a bantamweight tilt featuring undefeated Bekbulat Magomedov and Josh Hill, and a duel of featherweight strikers Robbie Peralta and Sheymon da Silva Moraes.
