The highly-anticipated light heavyweight championship rematch between Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson finally has a location.
UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta announced during Friday’s special edition of UFC Tonight that the bout will be held in Las Vegas. Initially, Toronto and Stockholm were also in the running to host the Sept. 27 clash, but ultimately Sin City got the nod.

This marks the first time that Jones will put his belt on the line in Las Vegas, the UFC’s home base. Since capturing the 205-pound crown against Mauricio Rua in Newark, N.J., “Bones” has defended the strap in Denver, Toronto, Atlanta, Toronto, Newark, Toronto, and finally, Baltimore.
Gustafsson gave Jones the most difficult test of his pro career this past September at UFC 165, but the champ rallied to pull out a competitive unanimous verdict. Since then, Jones took a dominant decision over Glover Teixeira in April, while Gustafsson scored a second-round TKO against Jimi Manuwa in March.
