Lauzon-Etim Agreed for UFC 118

Joe Lauzon and Terry Etim have agreed to meet in a lightweight bout at UFC 118 on Aug. 28 at the TD Garden in Boston, Serdog.com has learned.

FightersOnly.com was the first to report the matchup on Tuesday.

Lauzon, who hails from East Bridgewater, Mass., will look to rebound from a unanimous decision loss to Sam Stout at UFC 108 in January in Las Vegas. The 25-year-old fighter appeared on “The Ultimate Fighter 5” in 2007 and is 5-2 in the Octagon.

Etim, 24, was submitted by Rafael dos Anjos with a second-round armbar at UFC 112 on April 10 in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. Prior to that, the Liverpool native etched four consecutive wins in the Octagon – all in UFC events held in the United Kingdom and Europe.
