A light heavyweight clash between Ryan Spann and Devin Clark will take place at a UFC Fight Night event on Oct. 12.
Sherdog.com confirmed the pairing following an initial report from MMAjunkie.com. The card will reportedly take place in San Francisco and is headlined by a strawweight bout between Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Michelle Waterson.
Spann is now 2-0 inside the Octagon and coming off of a knockout win over Antonio Rogerio Nogueira at UFC 237. In his debut, he beat Luis Henrique Barbosa de Oliveira by decision at UFC Fight Night 13. The 27-year-old is 16-5 as a pro and was signed by the Las Vegas-based promotion after beating Emiliano Sordi by submission in the first round at Dana White’s Contender Series.
Clark got back into the win column last time out as he beat Darko Stosic by decision at UFC Stockholm. Before that, he lost by TKO to Aleksandar Rakic in the first round at UFC 231. “Brown Bear” is 4-3 inside the Octagon and is a former RFA champion.
