Lightweight Title Bout Set for M-1 Challenge 64 on Feb. 19

Mansour Barnaoui will defend his 155-pound belt against Artiom Damkovsky at M-1 Challenge 64 on Feb. 19.

The promotion announced the pairing on Tuesday. M-1 Challenge 64 takes place at the Olympic Sports Complex in Moscow and also features a heavyweight title tilt between Alexander Volkov and Denis Smoldarev. The event is available via pay-per-view at M1GlobalTV.com.

Barnaoui was unsuccessful in his bid for featherweight gold this past October, as he dropped a five-round verdict to Ivan Buchinger at M-1 Challenge 62. That ended a four-fight winning streak for the Paris native, who owns a 12-3 professional record overall.

The 32-year-old Damkovsky enters the contest having won four in a row, including a unanimous decision triumph over Heydar Mamedaliev at M-1 Challenge 55 last February. The Belarusian is 20-9 in his pro career and owns a notable triumph over current UFC talent Mairbek Taisumov.
