UFC lightweight veteran Efrain Escudero will clash with ex-Bellator talent Luis Palomino on Oct. 12 under Florida’s Championship Fighting Alliance banner.

CFA 12 takes place at the Bank United Center in Coral Gables, Fla., and is headlined by a flyweight title confrontation between Joshua Sampo and Sam Thao. The AXS TV-broadcast main card will also feature the return of transgender fighter Fallon Fox, who meets Ashlee Evans-Smith in the women’s featherweight title tournament finals.

Escudero, 27, has won back-to-back fights after losing four straight from December 2011 to May 2013. “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 8 winner last competed on Sept. 20, when he outpointed Zack Surdyka at Bellator 100.

Palomino, meanwhile, has won five of his last six, with his lone loss in that span coming to Luiz Firmino this past January at CFA 9. “Baboon” rebounded from the setback, however, scoring a first-round knockout over Robert Washington this past May at CFA 11.
