Lightweight prospects Jake Matthews and Kevin Lee will lock horns at "The Ultimate Fighter 23” finale.

Lee replaces Steven Ray in a bout that originally pitted Ray against Tae Hyun Bang before withdrawals altered the matchup. The Las Vegas-based promotion confirmed the new pairing on Thursday following an initial report from The Daily Telegraph. The “TUF 23” finale takes place on July 8 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena and is headlined by a strawweight title tilt between Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Claudia Gadelha.

Matthews, 21, has been victorious in four of his five Octagon appearances, with his only setback coming against James Vick. Most recently, the Australian fighter submitted Johnny Case in the third round of their encounter at UFC Fight Night “Hunt vs. Mir” in March.

Lee, meanwhile, is 5-2 during his promotional tenure, including a three-round verdict over Efrain Escudero in his last outing at UFC 197. “The Motown Phenom” is 12-2 as a professional, with five triumphs by submission and seven victories via decision.
