Lightweights Joe Ellenberger, Bryan Barberena Agree to Meet at UFC on Fox 13

A lightweight tilt between Joe Ellenberger and Bryan Barberena has been scheduled for UFC on Fox 13.
The promotion announced the bout on Wednesday. UFC on Fox 13 takes place at U.S. Airways Center in Phoenix on Dec. 13 and also includes a heavyweight bout pitting Alistair Overeem against Stefan Struve.
Ellenberger and Barberena were originally expected to clash at UFC Fight Night “Swanson vs. Stephens” before Barberena was forced to withdraw due to injury. Instead, Ellenberger captured a split verdict against James Moontasri on June 28. “Excalibur” is 15-1 as a professional, with 12 of those victories coming inside the distance.
A product of the MMA Lab, Barberena enters the bout having won six fights in a row. He last competed on Feb. 22, scoring a first-round TKO over Eric Moon at King of the Cage “Radar Lock.”
