Casey Parlett vs. Josh Shepard
Round 1
Parlett, who is making his pro debut, opens the fight with a series
of feints before throwing a push kick. Shepard backs away and is
equally tentative. Parlett lands a stinging right hand that
momentarily buzzes the local product. Shepard’s head cleared, he
throws an elbow that misses and then clinches. Shepard cracks his
foe with a corker of an elbow across the face. Push kick by the One
Kick fighter just misses its target. Parlett delivers a hard leg
kick but absorbs one to his body. The somewhat uneventful round
ends with the two missing a short burst. 10-9 Parlett.
Round 2
Parlett paws with three right hooks and then takes Shepard down
during a clinch. On their feet, they grapple again and trade knees
on the inside. Parlett digs a right to the body and follows it with
a left to the head; Shepard shakes it off. Nice uppercut by
Parlett. Parlett throws two push kicks, followed by a left to the
face. Shepard seems very tentative and is not letting his hands go.
Hard right to the head by Parlett, who follows with a powerful push
kick to the gut. During a clinch along the ropes, the visitor rakes
an elbows across Shepard’s grill. 10-9 Parlett.
Round 3
Shepard, sensing he might need a knockout, comes out aggressively.
He lands a hard kick to the chest. They clinch and Parlett rakes
him with a few right elbows on the inside. Flying knee by Shepard
barely misses its intended target; he eats a right on the way in.
Brutal kick to the body by the Las Vegan. Left to head/right to the
leg by Shepard, who has seized control of the bout. Parlett catches
the kick to the body and sweeps Shepard’s feet out from under him.
After a lull in the action, Shepard unfurls another hard kick to
the ribs. Parlett misses a would-be concussive right hand at the

Round 4
Shepard goes down seconds into the fight during an exchange. It
looked like a slip but Steve Mazzagatti rules him down. He’s up and
unfazed. They clinch and trade elbows. They separate and Sheaprd
tags him with a short left hook. Hard leg kick sweeps Parlett’s
feet out from under him. Parlett digs a vicious right uppercut to
the ribs and follows it with a left to the head. They exchange
meager lefts to the face. Hard right to the body by Parlett, who
eats a left hook coming in. Shepard dares him to come back in and
they exchange wildly until they clinch at the bell. 10-9
Shepard.
Round 5
Both corners are very animated between rounds. They trade leg kicks
to start the round. The local kid misses a wild overhand right.
Parlett touches him with low kicks to set something big up. Shepard
now attacking his foe’s lead leg. Parlett blocks a head kick and
then charges after him with a series of punches, but Shepard avoid
them all with his hands at his side. Shepard counters with a right
hand, though it’s a glancing blow. Parlett blocks a head kick
again. With 40 seconds left, the fight is up for grabs. Hard left
hook by shepard is mostly blocked. Right hands foe Parlett; Shepard
answers with one of his own and goads him for more. Solid

Tyler Toner vs. Gaston Bolanos
Round 1
Bolanos comes out rifling off a series of leg kicks. Bolanos lands
a spinning back elbow to the face and Toner is rocked! He’s wincing
and blinking against the ropes. Bolanos leaps in and swarms him,
though the Duane Ludwig-trained fighter clinches. The “Dream
Killer” unfurls two spinning elbows during the clinch, opening a
nasty gash over Toner’s right eye. Chris Togoni stops the bout to
have him checked. The ringside physician clears him to continue.
Bolanos pounces all over him and during a clinch he rattles off
several knees to the legs and body. Toner still looks murky but
he’s fighting back. Sweep/punch drops Toner, though it’s ruled a
sweep. Toner eats a right to the face and is bleeding from the nose
and mouth. All Bolanos. 10-8 Bolanos.
Toner’s corner stops the bout in between rounds. The official
ruling is Bolanos winning via TKO at the end of round one.

Sasiprapa
Round 1
Sasiprapa is very stoic to start the fight; Morilla is bouncing and
peppering him with meager low kicks. Morilla cracks him with a
solid straight right hand. Hard left kick to the body by the Thai
fighter. They miss simultaneous right hands and clinch. Nice push
kick/left to the head by the Filipino. Catch-and-sweep takes
Sasiprapa off his feet. The statuesque Sasiprapa is wasting very
little energy. Morilla pops him with a sneaky right/left to the
head. Hard left leg kick by Sasiprapa at the bell. 10-9
Morilla.
Round 2
Sasiprapa is a bit more mobile to start the second and lands a
straight right to the face. Hard left leg kick by the Bangkok
fighter. “The Gorilla from Manilla” is still bouncing around and
peppering him with low kicks, but Sasiprapa is keeping his distance
well. Sasiprapa ducks under a left hook and lands a glancing right
hand to the temple. Decent sweeping right hand by Sasiprapa.
Morilla is throwing many more strikes but they aren’t powerful;
Sasiprapa’s are few but damaging. Hard right to the head/left kick
to the ribs by Sasiprapa. Morilla misses with a straight left and
walks into a loopy right hook as he comes in. 10-9 Sasiprapa
Round 3
Morilla’s ribs feel the wrath of Sasiprapa’s shin. Again, he is
cracked by a snapping kick to the body. Morilla is letting his
hands go, but they are flailing in their attack and miss their
mark. Sasiprapa is in control of the bout while he systematically
breaks him down with bruising kicks to the legs and body. Nice
right/left to the face by the “Gorilla.” Morilla throws a loopy
overhand left but eats a right hand in exchange. Another crushing
shin to the ribs by Sasiprapa. The Thai fighter cracks his foe with
a right hand and then follows it with a left shin to the thigh.

Round 4
They trade winging punches and after a clinch, Sasiprapa lands a
glancing knee to the face. Morilla took it well and moved away.
Hard left hand to the face by Sasiprapa. He lands a right and
another left, forcing Morilla to duck out of harm’s way and
regroup. Morilla is now backing away quite a bit as the
Terminator-like Sasiprapa stalks him down. Hard leg kick by the
Bangkok fighter. Morilla is trapped in a corner and eats a right
hand. He escapes but is quickly pinned along the ropes They clinch
but Sasiprapa scoops his opponent up and slams him down hard onto
his back. Morilla is up and backs across the ring, eating a right
hand along the ropes at the bell. All Sasiprapa. 10-9

Round 5
Morilla’s corner is very animated between rounds, knowing their man
is likely way down on the cards. Morila cracks him with a right
hand after absorbing a low kick. Sasiprapa slams him to the canvas
again. The 100-plus fight combatant smiles at Morilla as he slowly
walks him down. Morilla tries a body kick but Sasiprapa grabs the
foot and trips out his back leg. Hard left kick to the thigh by
Sasiprapa. Morilla is limping now. Hard right hook to the body from
the Thai fighter. Another. Sasiprapa is all over him, going for the
kill. Morilla is breaking down before our eyes. Sasiprapa lands
three right push kicks to the mid-section. Morilla is gassing out
as he eats a left hand and takes another nasty kick to the thigh.
Sasiprapa slams him to the canvas at the bell. 10-9 Sasiprapa

Soest
Round 1
Van Soest lands a moderate low kick about 20 seconds into the
match. Both women are cautious to start. A minute in and still
nothing noteworthy has landed. Huyer lands a decent right to the
head. A right-handed Superman punch from Van Soest sparks a flurry
from both, though nothing significant lands from either. They
continue to circle. They clinch and Van Soest delivers a knee to
the body; Huyer counters with an attempted slam. The ropes held the
American up. Very little action in pick ‘em round. 10-10.
Round 2
Huyer throws a body kick but the American catcher leg and sweeps
out her back foot; Huyer slams violently onto her back. Van Soest
just misses with a spinning back kick. Nice left/right/left to the
face by the Italian. Push kick by Van Soest keeps Huyer away
momentarily. Huyer leans in for a right hand but she eats a massive
spinning back elbow and falls onto her back side. She is up and
very wobbly. Van Soest charges after her but Huyer smartly ties her
up. They clinch again and the San Diego fighter rakes her ribs with
a knee. Huyer is still wobbly when they separate. Huyer is bleeding
from her nose. Van Soest cracks her with a right hand. They clinch
again; Huyer is still on shaky legs at the bell. 10-8 Van
Soest.
Round 3
Van Soest rushes in for the attack but Huyer nails her with a left
hand. It appears as though the Milan native has gotten her bearings
back. Huyer is very aggressive now, but Van Soest dodges and blocks
the attacks. They tie up along the ropes as Van Soest digs a knee
to the ribs. Van Soest misses with a murderous right hand and then
avoids a right from her counterpart. Nice right hand by the
American. They clinch again and Huyer’s nose is bleeding for the
second time. Huyer catches the leg but fails at the far foot sweep.
Two stiff jabs by Van Soest snap Huyer’s head back. They clinch and
trade knees at the bell. 10-9 Van Soest.
Round 4
Huyer’s face is battered to start the round’ a mouse is growing
under her left eye. Van Soest just misses with a flying knee. Huyer
charges in with a right hand but she’s almost clipped woth a
spinning back fist. They clinch and Van Soest crushes her foe’s
body with knees. The Italiana eats a right and left as she throws a
right of her own. Hard left push kick by Van Soest. Hard right leg
kick by Huyer but she’s tagged by a right hand in return. Stiff
left jab by the American snaps Huyer’s head back. Van Soest lands a
nice, thudding right hand to the stomach. Huyer lands a leg kick
and right to the face near the bell. 10-9 Van Soest.
Round 5
Huyer’s corner is very frantic between rounds; she likely needs a
knockout in order to win. Nice right/left to the face by Tiffany to
start the round. They clinch and trade knees. Van Soest throws her
off and regroups. Huge front kick to the face stops Huyer in her
tracks! She’s hurt bad and stumbles back, eating a left hook. She
appears out on her feet and referee Kamijo jumps in and prevents
further damage.

Round 1
Ross leads with a low kick. Straight jab by Thompson. Nice left
hand by Thompson that followed a jab by Ross. Thompson lands a
glancing left hook to the top of Ross’ head. Hard kick to the body
from the American. Thompson throws a sizzling right uppercut on the
inside but it just misses its target. It’s a high-paced affair thus
far, though nothing powerful has landed yet. Jab-jab-leg kick by
Ross. Thompson lunges in with an overhand right but it’s a glancing
blow. Hard kick to the ribs by Ross that punctuates an eventful,
close round. 10-9 Ross.
Round 2
They exchange blows right away, but nothing clean lands. Ross
delivers a solid right to the jaw. Hard low kick by Thompson.
Another. Thompson leaps in with a right hand but misses, eating a
grazing counter left. He falls onto his gloves but Mazzagatti rules
it a slip. Nice jab/right by Ross, followed by another low kick.
Stiff jab by Thompson stops Ross’ attack briefly. Right to the
head/right leg sweep by Ross sends Thompson to the canvas. Big
overhand right by the Aussie misses. Ross ducks under a right hand
and then digs a left/right to the body. They clinch and Ross
violently slams Thompson to the canvas right at the bell. 10-9

Nice left hand by Thompson, only to be countered by a stinging
right leg kick. Ross is patiently stalking down his foe now; he’s
in total control. Leg kick by the Dublin, CA fighter. Another.
Another. Ross goes to the body with his shin now. Thompson unfurls
a wicked left hook but Ross ducks under it. Left/right to the face
by Thompson. Hard, crackling leg kick by Ross. Ross traps his foe
in a corner and drops a right knee into his stomach and then
follows it with a right cross to the face. They separate and
Thompson lands a knee to the gut. Short right hand to the cheek by
Ross snaps Thompson’s head sideways. They clinch at the bell. 10-9

Round 4
They trade blows but Ross’ right foot is caught. Thompson tries to
sweep him but Ross reverses position and slams him to the canvas.
They’re up and it looks like Ross has a cut on his forehead.
Thompson leaps in with a wild overhand right, missing by a foot.
Hard leg kick by Ross. Another. Ross cracks him in the body. Left
hook by the Aussie is blocked. Jab-jab by Thompson, but Ross gets
past it with a right hand. Thompson, with his back to the corner,
lands a push kick to get free. During an exchange, Ross unloads a
head kick but he pulls back at the last second; his foot rests
behind Thompson’s ear. Left hook by Thompson is a glancing one.
Kick to the ribs by Ross. Thompson ends the round with a knee to
the sternum. Closer round but Ross still got it. 10-9 Ross.
Round 5
Thompson likely needs a massive, dramatic round in order to go back
home with the W. They briefly hug and then get right down to
business. Ross throws a few left jabs and then digs a right/left
uppercut combo to the body. Thompson misses with a left hook,
leaving him open for a grazing head kick. Thompson sneaks in a
right uppercut as Ross stalks himself into punching range. Leg kick
by the American. Jab-jab-jab by Thompson, who follows with a right
to the face. Another leg kick by Ross. Thompson throws a left/right
but Ross blocks them both. They clinch and Ross digs a few knees to
his foe’s side. Ross misses with a wild right head kick late. With
20 seconds left, Thompson needs a miracle. Huge flying knee crashes
on Thompson’s face! He’s hurt and clinches. Ross slams him down.
