Experimenting with a new format for live coverage, the pair exhaustively covered the 18-bout bill which saw emphatic knockouts for former Deep champs Nobuhiro Obiya and Ryuta Sakurai, and yet another highlight reel submission from Masakazu Imanari. Other topics discussed included Japan's best referees, the future of caged events in the Land of the Rising Sun, and the announcement of Deep 45 Impact on Jan. 24 in Osaka, which will feature the promotion's welterweight champion Seichi Ikemoto defend his title against former champion and fellow Osakan Jutaro Nakao.
