Lorenz Larkin-Fernando Gonzalez Catchweight Bout Headlines Bellator 193 on Jan. 26

Lorenz Larkin and Fernando Gonzalez will square off in a 180-pound catchweight affair in the Bellator 193 headliner on Jan. 26.

Promotion officials announced the pairing on Tuesday. Bellator 193 takes place at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, Calif., and will be televised on the Paramount Network at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT. Additional bouts for the event will be announced soon.

Larkin debuted in Bellator with a five-round decision loss to Douglas Lima in a 170-pound title bout on June 24. Most recently, “Monsoon” was knocked out in the second round by Paul Daley at Bellator 183. Larkin entered the California-based promotion having won four of his last five bouts in the UFC.

Gonzalez, meanwhile, has won seven of eight under the Bellator MMA banner, with his lone defeat coming in a lackluster decision loss to Michael Page. In his last outing, “The Menifee Maniac submitted Brennan Ward with a guillotine choke in the second frame at Bellator 182.
