Luis Pena will move to 145 pounds and meet Steven Peterson at UFC Fight Night 148.

Multiple outlets confirmed the booking following an initial report from MMA Latest. UFC Fight Night 148 takes place at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., on March 23 and is headlined by a welterweight showdown pitting Stephen Thompson against Anthony Pettis.

“Violent Bob Ross” scored a first-round submission of Richie Smullen in his Octagon debut at “The Ultimate Fighter 27” finale before dropping a split decision against Michael Trizano in his sophomore outing at UFC Fight Night 139 this past November. The 25-year-old owns a 5-1 career record, with four wins coming via submission.

Peterson is also 1-1 within the Las Vegas-based promotion. “Ocho” dropped a unanimous verdict against Brandon Davis at UFC Fight Night 126 before taking a split-decision triumph over Matt Bessette at the “TUF 27” finale. The Texas native is 17-7 over the course of a career that included stints in Bellator, Legacy Fighting Championship and Legacy Fighting Alliance.
