The two lightweight fighters announced the booking on their social media accounts. UFC Tampa goes down on Oct. 12 and is headlined by a strawweight bout between Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Michelle Waterson.
Pena is on a two-fight winning streak after suffering his first professional loss to Michael Trizano in November at UFC Fight Night 139. Since then, he beat Steven Peterson by decision at UFC Nashville, where he attempted to fight at featherweight but missed weight by 2.5 pounds. “Violent Bob Ross” then moved back up to lightweight and defeated Matt Wiman by TKO at UFC Greenville.
Frevola, meanwhile, got back into the win column last time out as he beat Jalin Turner by decision at UFC 236. Before that, he battled Lando Vannata to a draw at UFC 230 and was knocked out by Marco Polo Reyes at UFC Fight Night 124. The 29-year-old is currently 7-1-1 as a pro and 1-1-1 in the UFC.
