Matt Brown, Ben Saunders Set to Fight at UFC 245

Good news for hardcore and longtime fans, Ultimate Fighting Championship veteran Matt Brown is set to make his Octagon return soon. According to a report by Las Vegas Review-Journal, Brown will lock horns with Ben Saunders in a 170-pound contest.

The 38-year-old was scheduled to face Carlos Condit in April 2018, but was forced to pull out of that fight due to a torn ACL and is only now making his return to action. In his last Octagon appearance at UFC Fight Night 120 in November 2017, “The Immortal” scored a first-round highlight reel KO at the expense of Diego Sanchez. That victory snapped a three-bout skid after facing Demian Maia, Jake Ellenberger and Donald Cerrone.

Fellow “The Ultimate Fighter” veteran Saunders is currently riding a three-fight losing streak. Last time he stepped inside the Octagon, “Killa B” lost to Takashi Sato via TKO in the second stanza of their UFC Fight Night 150 encounter. Prior to that, Saunders suffered two consecutive losses to Sergio Moraes and Lyman Good.

UFC 245 takes place Dec. 14 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. It has been announced that UFC double champion Amanda Nunes will put her featherweight title on the line against former featherweight champion Germaine de Randamie on that bill.
