Matt Brown has suffered a torn ACL and has been forced to withdraw from a proposed welterweight bout against Carlos Condit at UFC on Fox 29. was the first to report the injury on Monday. Promotion officials are currently seeking a replacement opponent for Condit. UFC on Fox 29 takes place on April 14 at Gila River Arena in Glendale, Ariz., and is headlined by a lightweight clash between Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje.

Brown and Condit were initially scheduled to square off at UFC on Fox 9 in December 2013, but Brown had to pull out of that contest due to a back injury. “The Immortal” ended a three-fight skid with a first-round knockout of Diego Sanchez at UFC Fight Night 120 in November.
