Flamboyant striker Michael Page will return to action one more time before the conclusion of 2019 when he faces Shinsho Anzai at Bellator 237 in Japan.
The California-based promotion announced the booking via social media. Page vs. Anzai will be contested at 173-pound catchweight. Bellator 237 takes place at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan, on Dec. 28 and is headlined by a heavyweight duel between Fedor Emelianenko and Quinton Jackson.
Page’s only defeat in 17 professional outings came via second-round knockout against Douglas Lima in Bellator’s welterweight grand prix on May 11. He has since rebounded to post back-to-back KO triumphs over Richard Kiely and Giovanni Melillo. The 32-year-old Englishman has finished 13 of his 16 career wins inside the distance.
A veteran of the UFC and Pancrase promotions, Anzai is coming off a technical decision victory over Yoichiro Sato at Deep 91 Impact on Sept. 8. The 34-year-old Tokyo native owns an 11-3 professional mark that includes seven triumphs by KO or TKO.
