The upcoming Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki event will see a middleweight clash, as Michal Materla will face Patrik Kincl at KSW 53.
Former KSW middleweight champion Materla (27-7) is eager to bounce back after his failed title assault against Scott Askham at KSW 49. Prior to that, “Magic” defeated both Damian Janikowski and Martin Zawada in an emphatic fashion at KSW 45 and KSW 44, respectively.
Kincl (22-9) will be making his KSW debut. The Czech fighter has made a name for himself in his home country, and his resume includes several solid victories in X Fight Nights, Prague Fight Night, and ACB. The 30-year old fighter will put his three-fight winning victory streak on the line against Materla. In his latest cage appearance, Kincl edged Italy’s Mattia Schiavolin thanks to a unanimous decision victory.
KSW 53 will go down at the Atlas Arena in Lodz, Poland on March 21. The card will feature also a heavyweight showcase with Mariusz Pudzianowski squaring off against a yet-to-be-announced opponent. On the same bill, KSW welterweight champion Roberto Soldic will put his belt on the line.
